Jeff Chancellor joins Piner Middle as principal after serving as CTE, military, and workforce coordinator at Sherman High where he provided instructional leadership to teachers and strengthened community partnerships to increase opportunities for students. Previously, he was an assistant principal at the high school for two years. Prior to SHS, he was a teacher and coach at the middle and high school levels for nine years.

Chancellor is also a military veteran, having served in the U.S. Army for nine years and led soldiers in combat and training exercises, including two tours to the Middle East. He is focused on collaborating with all stakeholders to enhance the learning and long-term success of Piner students.

Chancellor earned his master’s degree in education administration from Lamar University and his bachelor’s degree from University of Texas at Dallas. He and his wife Sandy have one daughter, Bailee, who attends Sory Elementary.
