Hello! My name is Haylea Dooley and I am excited to be your first grade teacher at Wakefield Elementary. I will be teaching the virtual distance learning students for the first nine weeks. We are going to get to know each other very soon, but here are a few facts about me! 

I graduated highschool from West Texas in 2005. I graduated from college in 2010 from Southeastern University in Durant with an emphasis on teaching. I earned my Bachelor's in Science Degree which allowed me to be able to teach Early Childhood through sixth grade. I started my teaching career in a private Montessori school here in Sherman and called this my home for two years. I then began teaching first grade in Oklahoma and stayed for five years. The last two years I have worked as a Second Grade teacher at Wakefield Elementary. This year I will begin teaching first grade virtually. This will mark my 10th year of teaching. 

I am the mom of three year old twins, Dawson and Chaselynn. I am also the wife of a newly established Sherman fire fighter. I also have a labrador retriever named Lexi.
